By registering as a tutor with EdStack Academy, you agree to uphold this Code of Conduct. It exists to keep students safe and to keep EdStack a platform that families across Pakistan can trust. Please read it carefully — it applies from the moment you apply.
01
Honesty & accurate representation
- Give truthful, verifiable information — your real name, CNIC, qualifications and experience.
- Only offer subjects and levels you are genuinely competent to teach.
- Keep your profile accurate and up to date, and tell us promptly if your details change.
02
Professionalism & reliability
- Be punctual — start and finish each session at the agreed time.
- Come prepared, with a plan for what you'll cover.
- Give at least 24 hours' notice if you must cancel or reschedule, and avoid repeated last-minute cancellations.
- Communicate respectfully and reply to students and families in good time.
03
Student safety & child protection
- Many EdStack students are minors. Treat every student with care, patience and respect.
- For in-home sessions with a minor, teach in a common, open area of the home with a parent or guardian aware and present — never behind a closed door or in a private space.
- Keep all communication focused on tutoring. For minors, include a parent or guardian wherever possible, and never contact a minor privately for non-tutoring reasons.
- Physical, verbal, emotional or sexual harassment or abuse of any student will never be tolerated under any circumstances.
- If you ever have a concern about a student's safety or wellbeing, report it to EdStack immediately.
04
Professional boundaries
- Maintain a professional relationship with students and families at all times.
- No romantic or sexual conduct with any student, regardless of their age.
- No discrimination or harassment on the basis of gender, religion, sect, ethnicity, disability or background.
- Do not push personal, political or religious views on your students.
05
Fees, payments & the platform
- Students pay their fees through EdStack. We deduct a service fee of 20–30% and transfer the rest to you on the agreed schedule — so you always get paid on time.
- All payments for students matched through EdStack must go through EdStack. Taking a student off-platform or arranging private payments to avoid the service fee is a serious breach and grounds for removal.
- The Rs 1,000 registration fee is a separate, one-time verification fee.
- Agree your hourly rate clearly before the first session, keep your own records, and never add hidden or surprise charges.
06
Confidentiality & privacy
- Protect the personal information of students and their families; never share or misuse it.
- Do not photograph, record, or post about a student without the explicit consent of their parent or guardian.
07
Conduct on EdStack
- Keep one tutor account — no duplicate or fake profiles.
- Do not post false reviews or make misleading claims about your results.
- Represent EdStack honestly and courteously in all your dealings.
08
Verification & eligibility
- You must pass and maintain our checks — identity/CNIC verification, a subject assessment, and a trial-session review.
- Cooperate with re-verification if we request it.
- Tell us about anything that affects your eligibility to work with students.
09
Prohibited conduct
- The following will lead to removal: dishonesty about your identity or credentials; harassment or abuse of any kind; discrimination; inappropriate contact with a minor; soliciting off-platform payments to avoid the service fee; being under the influence of drugs or alcohol during a session; violence or threats; sharing inappropriate content; or breaching a student's confidentiality.
10
Enforcement
- Depending on severity, a breach of this code may result in a warning, suspension, or permanent removal from EdStack.
- Serious breaches — especially anything affecting a student's safety — result in immediate removal and, where appropriate, referral to the authorities.
- The registration fee is not refunded if you are removed for breaching this code.
11
What EdStack commits to you
- Pay you on time, every time, for lessons you deliver.
- Bring you new students so your income continues even if a student leaves.
- Arrange replacement tutors for students when needed, so no one's studies are disrupted.
- Give you a real support team for scheduling, rematches, and any issues.
12
Reporting a concern
